The electric bus manufacturing project is being implemented in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park in cooperation with Electrify Azerbaijan LLC and China’s BYD. The facility assembles BYD electric buses using modern technologies, with production planned to become increasingly localized over the following stages. During the initial phase, the buses will primarily serve the needs of the Azerbaijani market. Future development plans envisage exports to Georgia, Türkiye and Russia. The project supports the expansion of environmentally friendly public transport, introduces new manufacturing capabilities to the country’s automotive industry and facilitates the transfer of advanced technologies.
