AzerBazalt is an industrial project focused on extracting basalt rock from the Chaykend deposit in the Goygol district and processing it at a modern manufacturing facility being established in the city of Ganja. During the initial phase, the project will produce basalt powder and mineral fertilizers through the grinding and processing of locally extracted basalt. The following phase will introduce advanced composite materials, including basalt fibre, reinforcement bars and mesh, designed for applications across the construction, energy and transportation sectors. By transforming domestic mineral resources into value-added products, the project will support the development of high-technology manufacturing and strengthen the competitiveness of Azerbaijan’s non-oil economy.
