Shafag Jabrayil Solar Power Plant

The Shafag Jabrayil Solar Power Plant is the first utility-scale solar energy project to be developed in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories. Jointly advanced by SOCAR, bp and the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund, it represents one of the largest foreign investment initiatives implemented in the region. With a planned capacity of 240 MW, the plant will supply clean electricity to the Jabrayil power grid. It will also help meet the Sangachal terminal’s energy requirements through renewable sources, reduce carbon emissions and support the continued development of Azerbaijan’s green energy potential.
