Green Karabakh Energy is a renewable energy initiative implemented under a public–private partnership model with Türkiye’s Demirören Yatırım Holding. The project involves restoring and recommissioning four small hydropower plants located on rivers in the Kalbajar and Lachin districts. Malibey, the first plant to be developed under the initiative, will convert the region’s hydropower resources into clean electricity. Its projected annual output will be sufficient to supply approximately 7,000 households. The project supports the development of sustainable energy infrastructure across Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur.
